Hanna loves her life on the Lady of the Evening. Delivering cargo across the known worlds and hunting pirates was a perfect life. But when her grandfather is killed, Hanna must go into the wilds of Northern Solotine to discover what happened.
She discovers a plot that threatens the world as she knows it as she's thrown into a world of magic and danger far beyond any simple pirates.
When Thorodd Stoneblood, her grandfather, is killed by a mysterious assassin, Hanna discovers that her own life is bound to a fate she couldn't have imagined. Faced with the understanding of an unknown past and a coven of power hungry witches who will stop at nothing to see her dead, Hanna struggles to overcome the adversities of a magical world she never knew existed.
With the tide of danger rising around her and the driving need to uncover the truth, Hanna discovers that it won't be enough to be a warrior. In order to survive, she will have to become something more…
Can Hanna defeat her mysterious new enemy? Or will her legacy end in the same manner as the Stoneblood lines always do… in bloodshed?
Spirit Magic Hanna Halfblood Book 1 eBook Robyn Wideman
I thoroughly enjoyed the story itself, but the writing seemed a bit inelegant at times. The conversations didn't seem to flow as conversations should, and there were a number of times where short sentences were clustered together where the narrative would have probably benefited from longer, more descriptive phrasing. One other thing that was actually pretty jarring from an immersion standpoint was the fact that the weapon used by the main character later in the story switches from being an axe to a sword and back again, sometimes in the same paragraph.
All that being said, I am still very much looking forward to the next book.

Spirit Magic Hanna Halfblood Book 1 eBook Robyn Wideman Reviews
Hanna Halfblood the first I have read from this author. An action packed adventure. A revenge quest for wrongdoings to her family. Proves the fact there is always something more to learn. Thoroughly enjoyable read. Can't wait to read more from this author.
Was a great story except where the grandfather dies. The reason I write that is because in Nathan's story, the last book released, he met Hanna and went to go see grandfather. She also knew about spirit stones and how to make them. So, all I wish is that the author would go back and see what he already wrote or if this book came out BEFORE Dark Tidings, he should have known what he had written for Hanna's book. So, yes, good story, poorly thought out.
Update I was so completely wrong. I totally got the names wrong. So, great story, Hanna is awesome and you really need to read this book. Thank you to Robyn for replying, I really appreciate it.
