Ghost Fugue was well written, like all of Maya Lassiter's novels, and the characters were all interesting, even charismatic, but although they develop during the course of the story, that development seems to be there in order to further the relationship between the three of them. Yes, two guys and a girl who seems to have an unlimited capacity for sex with both her partners, either singly or all in together.

Call me old fashioned, but I'm not that fond of erotica. A bit is fine, but a whole story devoted to the exploration of a threesome left me a bit disappointed, especially as I absolutely loved Lassiters last book - Creature of Dreams.

Lassiter remains one of my favourite new writers, but this novel didn't do it for me.

I loved the characters in this book! The three main characters were all well written and complex on their own and when you put them together things get seriously steamy! But it's not just the main characters that I loved, the secondary characters rock as well! I have read several books from this author (Toby Streams the Universe and Children of the Fallen are my personal faves) and I am always impressed with her characters, and to me if you don't care about the characters there is no reason to read the book.
Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Maya Lassiter's writing and up until now my absolute favorite of hers was Toby Streams the Universe. But Ghost Fugue is equally as riveting. I became immediately invested in this book and literally couldn't put it down. I cared about the characters from the start and wanted to know how they would find their way through their individual challenges. The pace and the unexpected plot shifts kept me going as the story unfolded. I never skipped a page, which I tend to do. Maya Lassiter's stories are rich in emotion, deeply exploring relationships and the journey of life. I love the openness to the supernatural senses and possibilities. This is definitely one of Maya Lassiter's best.
