Strigoi is utterly fantastic. The book is so well written, the characters seem so real to life. It feels as if they could be your next door neighbors. They face the same dilemmas as society itself and shows the strength of human will. With all of the vampire fiction that has been coming out in the past several years, Strigoi does an exemplary job in setting the new standard and personifying the entire genre. I was completely astounded and spell-bound through my entire journey from cover to cover. The end left me begging for more. This is a perfect book, and more than well worth reading. I look forward to reading the rest of the series in the future, to which I hope will come sooner, rather than later.
Strigoi is a wonderful book that you don't want to stop reading until it is finished. The characters become real to you as you become interwoven in their lives. Wynter has opened the eyes of the reader to the human side of the supernatural. When you finish the book you are satisfied with the ending, but are left with the thoughts " I can't wait for the next book." Therefore if you haven't purchased Strigoi, you are missing out on a wonderful reading adventure into the world of supernatural! I can' wait for the others in the series to be published.
I love reading vampire fiction. I am a huge Anne Rice fan and have felt a void in this type of fiction for many years. I found this book to be just what I was craving to fill that very need. From the beginning to the end I was taken on a journey as the plot twisted through the lives of these characters. There is a richness to the development of these characters which displays their human traits and is not afraid to show their flaws as well as their abundance of gifts. When I finished the book I instantly wanted more. I was beyond thrilled to learn that more books would be published by this author and cannot wait to see the continuation of this story. The blending of facts with her fiction writing mesmerized me. It was easy to identify with the characters which allowed my emotions to connect with the story as a whole in addition to the individual characters. I will actively be awaiting the second book in this series. If you love witches, vampires, stories that will make you question what is real and what is not, this series is for you. She has been able to demonstrate differences in "types" of vampires and gone one step further by showing how each persons own sense of morality can ultimately override the most basic of instincts for loyalty, for family, and even for love. Truly an excellent read for any fan of this genre!!! My last thoughts are give me more!

Anyone seeking a sensational story that will melt the heart and is wonderfully gripping and compelling, will find this exquisite debut novel an enchanting read!

As an avid reader of this genre I was curious as to what new concepts and innovative ideas the author could sprinkle into her story, so as to set it apart from other novels (like for instance Victoria Lamb's Witchstruck) etc. I was delighted to discover a well-written, engaging tale that was brilliantly brought to life on the page written in a fresh, distinctive voice. This is certainly an entertaining romp through the past and one that I am so pleased to have had the opportunity of reading!

A must read, couldn't put it down, fast paced, amazing characters, keeps you guessing, full of twists and turns, stayed up well into the night reading this book. I look forward to the next book in the series. Would highly recommend this book.

So much information and insight into different aspects of the Vampyre and Magical world. Love the time setting making it VERY romantic.
